The Future of Science and Engineering in the North East

As a successful and forward thinking organisation you know that your business can only be as good as the people you employ. By agreeing to host a 4 to 6 week placement for a talented student studying science, technology and engineering related qualifications you can develop your existing staff while helping to address the future shortfall in skilled professionals in your industry. In just a few years the young people you encourage could be working with you.

Students who are awarded bursaries receive payments to help cover costs while working on projects designed to actually benefit their host organisation. Your organisation. You decide what work you would like them to do. This could be a research or design project which would otherwise have been shelved for lack of time or personnel but which could realistically be completed in 4 to 6 weeks. You can also have a say in the student(s) who will work on the project.
